Basic Buy Now Button

Ok there are a lot of fields to get a new user confused when setting up a buy now button the easiest way is to use the PayPal site to create your buttons but who wants to do that if you have lots of them to make. This section will show you how to create and understand the button. Required information and optional information.

Okay, Lets begin

First of all every PayPal button needs to be in a form. What is a form well think of it as a Bank Deposit form you need to fill in information and submit it to the bank. Here is the proper way to start a PayPal button form.

<form action="" method="post" target="paypal" >

Lets Break that down

ells the browser you are starting a form

Tells the browser where to send the information in the form.

This can be set to get or post it tells the browser how to send the information in the form since this is a beginners course I am not going to get into the difference. Post is mostly all you will ever need.

This tells the browser where to display the information. if left out the browser will assume you want the new window to be opened in the current window. Since I don't like sending my users away from my site completely I set the target which will in this case open a new window named paypal. If you plan to open a new window it MUST be named paypal in all lowercase letters.

This closes the opening form tag
